Speed limiter
The rev limiter is an automatic technical device on combustion engines. This device controls the speed and rotational speed. When top speed is reached, this is counteracted by the signals sent from the pickup to the CDI. The altered signals cause the spark plugs to ignite differently. This results in an ignition failure, which means that high speeds are not reached and the speed slows down.
Attention: speed limiters are not allowed in traffic!
There are different versions of speed limiters
The most common variant is probably the one with a toggle switch, where the clamping can be easily activated and deactivated manually using a toggle switch. With speed limiters with radio remote control, on the other hand, the degassing of the vehicle takes place via the remote control. Another variant is speed limiters with magnetic switches, in which the clamping is deactivated via the magnet. Finally, there is the rev limiter with a brake lever code, the scooter can only be degassed via the brake lever with a stored code.
